ReStore

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore opened at Hilden Home Square in Belleville on Saturday July 29, 2006. It is the 49th ReStore opened in Canada.

A ReStore sells new and used, end of line, and recycled, home building and decorating materials including appliances, gardening items, etc. All items sold at the ReStore are donated by area companies, contractors and individuals.

Salvage Service

A salvage service is now available for contractors and the general public. A ReStore Salvage Crew can come to your site and salvage materials that are then sold at the ReStore. Please call Rob at 613-962-7526 or 613-242-1706 (cellular) for details. Our salvage service has been facilitated by a grant from the Shell Environmental Fund.

Home Depot is a major national sponsor of Habitat for Humanity and donates hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of product to ReStores across Canada. The Belleville Home Depot has been very generous in its support of the Belleville ReStore.

Profits from ReStore sales will be applied to future Habitat home builds in Hastings and Prince Edward counties. What you spend at the ReStore comes back to the community.

Our salvage crews can come and dismantle your old kitchen cabinets, remove doors, etc., at no cost to you as long as items are determined to be saleable at the ReStore

Salvage Program

The ReStore's new Salvage Program has taken off with many salvage jobs lined up over the summer and into the fall. Here ReStore salvage volunteers and members of Pathways to Independence salvage materials from a home in Picton. The materials went on sale at the ReStore as they were removed from the home. The home owners were happy to save on land fill fees and had the lot cleared for ready for their new home presently under construction on the site.
